About Lighthouse Literacy and Learning Solutions

Lighthouse Literacy and Learning Solutions is a specialized practice dedicated to helping learners of every age unlock their full potential through evidence-based literacy and language instruction. Whether a child is just beginning to decode words or an adult is working to strengthen reading skills for career advancement, Lighthouse meets each person exactly where they are.

The practice was founded and is led by Whitney Aswell, M.S., CCC-SLP, CALT — a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified Academic Language Therapist with extensive experience in dyslexia therapy, reading intervention, and executive function training. Whitney's dual certifications allow her to address both the speech-language and literacy dimensions of learning challenges, providing a uniquely comprehensive approach to each client.

Lighthouse serves children, adolescents, adults, and homeschool families across a wide range of needs: from phonemic awareness and structured literacy to organization strategies and individualized learning plans. Sessions are compassionate, individualized, and grounded in the latest science of reading research.

Our mission is simple — to be the lighthouse that guides learners through the challenges of reading and language, helping them find clarity, confidence, and success. When traditional methods have fallen short, Lighthouse finds what works.
